Hawzah News Agency (Bangkok, Thailand) - According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relation Organization (ICRO), scholars and thinkers from Thailand, Iran, Sri Lanka and Myanmar will take part in the program.
It will be held on March 15-16 in cooperation with the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.
The main themes of discussion at the event will include understanding, religious tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
It is aimed at promoting awareness among religious leaders and scholars of the two sides about one another's beliefs and moral values.
Iran's ambassador to Thailand, the southeast Asian country's deputy culture minister, representative of Thailand's top Muslim cleric, and chancellor of Chulalongkorn University will be among the participants at this round of Islam-Buddhism dialogue.
The previous edition of the interfaith program was held in 2015 in Tehran.
